FutureFuel names CEO Roeland Polet as board chairman

FutureFuel Corp. (NYSE: FF) appointed Chief Executive Officer Roeland Polet as chairman of the board, effective December 4, 2025. The company also expanded its board from eight to nine members and added Polet as a Class A director.

Polet has served as CEO since September 2024. He previously held executive positions at Koninklijke DSM N.V., including Chief Executive Officer of DSM Materials Businesses from 2019 to 2023. His career also includes senior roles at Valspar Corporation, Celanese Corporation and Carbolite Foods, Inc. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from State University of New York at Buffalo.

Donald C. Bedell resigned as chairman but will remain on the board as an independent director. The board appointed G. Bruce Greer, an independent director, as Lead Independent Director to work with Polet on board oversight functions.

FutureFuel manufactures custom and performance chemicals and biofuels. The company's chemical products include proprietary intermediates, chlorinated polyolefin adhesion promoters, antioxidant precursors, and polymer modifiers. Its biofuels segment produces biodiesel.

The company stated there are no arrangements between Polet and other parties related to his board appointment, and no prior transactions requiring disclosure under securities regulations.
