Former Interpol president joins Robo.ai subsidiary as chairman

Robo.ai Inc. (NASDAQ: AIIO) announced the appointment of H.E. Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, former president of Interpol, as chairman of its subsidiary Neurovia AI, effective immediately, according to a press release dated July 13, 2026.

Al-Raisi served as Interpol's president from 2021 to 2025, a role the press release describes as the first held by a person from the Middle East in the organization's history. The company states he brings more than four decades of experience in digital security governance, national-level data compliance, and cross-border digital risk management.

As chairman, Al-Raisi will lead Neurovia AI's board and provide guidance on strategy, compliance, and governance. His responsibilities will also include supporting engagement with government and enterprise customers and overseeing international expansion efforts.

"Data infrastructure is the cornerstone of the artificial intelligence era, and building this foundation requires high standards and responsible security governance," Al-Raisi said in the statement. "I look forward to working with the Board and the management team to establish a robust and compliant data security framework and to support the sound development of the region's AI industry."

Neurovia AI provides AI visual data processing through its NeuroStream platform, with applications in autonomous driving, smart cities, and intelligent manufacturing. The subsidiary was previously integrated into Robo.ai, which describes itself as a technology company focused on building an AI machine economy platform.
