Former BCCI CEO Rahul Johri joins Flash Sports board

Flash Sports & Media Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLZH) announced the appointment of Rahul Johri, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), to its Board of Directors, according to a company statement.

Johri served as the BCCI's first CEO, overseeing international and domestic cricket operations, the Indian Premier League (IPL T20), and the National Cricket Academy. During his tenure, he led the sale of BCCI media rights for more than $3 billion and introduced the e-auction format to cricket rights transactions.

Johri also previously served as President of Business at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., where he oversaw revenue across more than 60 television channels and the Zee5 digital platform, and helped launch the UAE-based ILT20 cricket league. Earlier in his career, he served as Head of Discovery Networks South & Southeast Asia and was part of the founding team of Outlook magazine. He currently heads Citadel Advisory, a media and sports advisory firm operating in India and the UAE.

Flash Sports & Media describes itself as a cricket-focused sports and media company pursuing media rights, sponsorship, franchise development, and league operations across cricket markets. The company noted its business plans remain subject to execution risks, market conditions, and its ability to secure financing and definitive agreements.
