Flywire adds ex-GitLab CTO Sabrina Farmer to its board

Flywire Corporation (Nasdaq: FLYW) has appointed Sabrina Farmer to its board of directors, the global payments company announced. Farmer will also join the board's Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

Farmer currently serves as Corporate Vice President of the Commerce Platform at Microsoft, where she oversees commerce, billing, and payment platforms supporting Azure, Office 365, and Copilot. Before Microsoft, she was Chief Technology Officer at GitLab, leading the company's software engineering, operations, and customer support teams.

Prior to GitLab, Farmer spent 19 years at Google, most recently as Vice President of Engineering, Core Infrastructure, where she was responsible for the reliability and performance of Google's billion-user products and systems.

Flywire CEO Mike Massaro cited her background in large-scale infrastructure in a statement: "Her deep expertise in building reliable, high-performance infrastructure and her proven ability to lead transformational change across complex global organizations aligns with Flywire's growth trajectory."

Farmer holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of New Orleans, where she has established two scholarships focused on inclusion in technology.

Flywire, headquartered in Boston, supports more than 5,300 clients across more than 140 currencies in 240 countries and territories.
