First Capital Bank chairman joins SC governor's school board
First Capital Bank (OTCQX: FCPB) announced that Executive Chairman Harvey L. Glick has been appointed by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster to serve on the Board of Trustees of the South Carolina Governor's School for Science & Mathematics.
"I am honored to serve the State of South Carolina in this capacity," Glick said in a statement. "The Governor's School plays a vital role in developing the next generation of leaders in science, technology, engineering, and math."
Danny Dorsel, President of the South Carolina Governor's School for Science & Mathematics, said Glick's financial expertise and professional experience would guide the institution's continued growth. The school describes itself as the top-ranked public high school in South Carolina and fourth nationally.
The Governor's School for Science & Mathematics operates as a residential high school providing advanced STEM-focused curriculum for students across the state.
