Element 29 nominates two Wheaton Precious Metals executives to its board
Element 29 Resources Inc. (TSXV: ECU) (OTCQB: EMTRF) has nominated Randy Smallwood and George Brack as director candidates ahead of its annual general meeting scheduled for September 25, 2026.
Smallwood currently serves as non-executive chair of Wheaton Precious Metals Corp. and was its chief executive officer from 2011 to 2026. He previously held senior roles at Wheaton River Minerals Ltd. and Goldcorp, and holds credentials in geological and mine engineering.
Brack is the lead independent director of Wheaton Precious Metals Corp. and previously served as chair of its board. He also served as non-executive chair of Capstone Mining Corp. from 2011 to 2022 and currently sits on the board of ASX-listed Dateline Resources Limited. Brack holds an MBA, a degree in geological engineering and the CFA designation, and brings 35 years of mining industry experience.
If elected at the AGM, both men are expected to serve as independent board members alongside non-executive chair Brad Mercer, independent directors Patrick Elliott, Mary-Carmen Vera and Chet Idziszek, and executive director Richard Osmond.
The virtual AGM is set for 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on September 25, 2026. Registered shareholders and proxy holders must pre-register before the proxy cut-off of 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on September 23, 2026. Details are available in the company's management information circular filed on SEDAR+.
