EagleOne Metals names new interim CEO with uranium sector focus

EagleOne Metals Corporation (CSE: EAGL, FSE: I2J, OTCQB: EGLMF) announced leadership changes effective September 14, 2026, as the Canadian mineral exploration company shifts strategic emphasis toward uranium opportunities.

Shane Lowry has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer and Director. Lowry brings more than 25 years of capital markets experience and has focused on uranium exploration and development in recent years. He replaces Matthew Markin, who founded EagleOne and transitions to Chief Financial Officer while remaining a Director.

Barry Wattenberg stepped down as Chief Financial Officer but will continue serving as a Director. Robert Reukl resigned from the Board. The company reconstituted its Audit Committee to include Howard Blank, Robert Hall, and Shane Lowry, with Blank continuing as Chair.

According to the company's statement, EagleOne intends to evaluate uranium assets and companies while continuing to assess its existing mineral exploration portfolio. The company cited growing global interest in uranium and nuclear energy, including in the United States, as part of its rationale for the strategic shift.

Markin commented that Lowry's "recent focus on uranium, combined with his extensive capital markets experience, transactional background and cross-border relationships, brings capabilities that are closely aligned with this next phase of EagleOne's development."

Lowry stated that the company's objective is to "identify high-potential opportunities and connect them with the technical, operational, corporate and capital markets expertise required to advance them."

EagleOne is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and focuses on the acquisition and development of critical mineral and uranium projects in North America.
