Dorchester Minerals board member C.W. Russell's passing
Dorchester Minerals, L.P. (NASDAQ: DMLP) announced the death of C.W. "Bill" Russell, who served on the company's Board of Managers and Advisory Committee since 2004 and chaired the Audit Committee.
Russell brought energy taxation expertise to the Dallas-based partnership through his career at KPMG, where he served as National Director, Technical Tax Services – Energy and Chairman of the KPMG International Petroleum Group.
The Board of Managers appointed Allen D. Lassiter, an existing Independent Manager, as the new Chairman of the Audit Committee. The company expects to appoint a new Independent Manager before year-end.
Dorchester Minerals owns producing and non-producing oil and natural gas mineral, royalty, overriding royalty, and net profits interests across 28 states. The partnership's common units trade on the NASDAQ Global Select Market.
