DHT Holdings names CEO Harfjeld to board of directors

DHT Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: DHT) appointed Svein Moxnes Harfjeld to its board of directors, effective immediately, according to a company statement.

Harfjeld currently serves as president and chief executive officer of the crude oil tanker company, a position he has held since 2010 and will continue to maintain alongside his new board role.

"With his over 30 years of experience in the global shipping industry, Mr. Harfjeld brings additional strategic insight and operational expertise to the Board," said Erik A. Lind, chairman of the board.

The Hamilton, Bermuda-based company operates a fleet of crude oil tankers in the very large crude carrier segment. DHT manages its operations through integrated companies in Monaco, Norway, Singapore, and India.

Harfjeld is a Norwegian citizen who resides in Monaco.
