Cribl, a data management company for IT and security, announced the appointment of Chirantan "CJ" Desai to its board of directors. Desai serves as President and CEO of MongoDB (NASDAQ: MDB).
Desai joins Cribl's board alongside recently appointed audit committee chair Mike Kourey and other members including representatives from Striker, CRV, Sequoia, and GV (Google Ventures), as well as Cribl co-founders Clint Sharp and Ledion Bitincka.
The MongoDB executive brings experience from senior leadership roles at Cloudflare and ServiceNow, where he worked on platform expansion and global operations. His background spans product development, engineering, and operations.
"Since our founding in 2018, Cribl has been a customer-first organization dedicated to delivering solutions that solve real-world challenges for our users," said Sharp, who serves as CEO and co-founder. The company reports that half of the Fortune 100 use its products for telemetry data management.
Desai stated that Cribl addresses customer challenges in telemetry data management. "I've spent my career building platforms that help customers get ahead of major technology shifts, including the rise of AI," he said.
The San Francisco-based company, founded in 2018, offers data processing and routing solutions for IT and security applications. Cribl operates as a remote-first organization and has received recognition on lists including the Forbes Cloud 100 and Fortune Cyber 60 for three consecutive years.
