Cleveland-Cliffs lead director resigns from board

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. (NYSE: CLF) announced that Douglas C. Taylor resigned from his position as Lead Director of the Board of Directors, effective February 22, 2026.
Taylor submitted his resignation on February 19, 2026, which the board accepted based on a recommendation from the Governance and Nominating Committee. According to the company's statement, Taylor's resignation was not due to any disagreement with Cleveland-Cliffs regarding operations, policies or practices.
The resignation followed the company's Corporate Governance Guidelines, which require directors to tender their resignation when they experience a change in primary occupation, position or primary business affiliation.
The board appointed Ralph S. Michael III as the new Lead Director and named Edilson T. Camara as Chairman of the Compensation and Organization Committee to fill the roles previously held by Taylor.
Cleveland-Cliffs thanked Taylor for his service and contributions to the company, according to the press release statement.
