Clean Air Metals appoints John Mason as director
Clean Air Metals Inc. (TSX.V: AIR) announced the appointment of John Mason as director, effective immediately, according to a company press release.
Mason holds a Doctor of Science degree and is a professional geologist with 49 years of experience in mineral exploration and mining in Northern Ontario. His background includes management positions with the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines and Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission before establishing John Mason and Associates.
Mason has worked with mines and exploration projects in Northwestern Ontario, focusing on supply, service, workforce, energy and transportation access requirements. He has collaborated with indigenous communities, the Métis Nation of Ontario and municipalities on economic development opportunities related to exploration and mining while addressing environmental requirements.
"John's community and government relationships will be invaluable as we advance the Thunder Bay North Project through permitting, financing and construction," said Jim Gallagher, Chair of the Board of Directors.
The company also granted 500,000 incentive stock options to a director, subject to regulatory approval. The options are exercisable at $0.05 per share for five years from the issue date and include vesting provisions.
Clean Air Metals is developing the Thunder Bay North Critical Minerals project, located 40 kilometers northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario. The project contains two deposits with a combined 13.8 million tonnes of indicated mineral resources containing 2.4 million platinum equivalent ounces, based on a June 2023 technical report.
