Cameco elects nine directors at annual shareholder meeting

Cameco Corporation (NYSE: CCJ) announced the election of nine board members at its annual meeting held on May 7, 2026, according to a company statement.
Shareholders elected Tammy Cook-Searson, Catherine Gignac, Tim Gitzel, Marie Inkster, Kathryn Jackson, Don Kayne, Peter Kukielski, Dominique Minière and Leontine van Leeuwen-Atkins to the board.
All nine nominees received strong shareholder support, with approval rates ranging from 98.13% to 99.78%. Tim Gitzel received the highest support at 99.77% of votes cast, while Catherine Gignac received the lowest at 98.13%.
The voting results showed Peter Kukielski garnered 99.78% approval, followed by Tammy Cook-Searson at 99.57%, Leontine van Leeuwen-Atkins at 99.38%, Dominique Minière at 99.35%, Marie Inkster at 99.33%, Don Kayne at 98.81%, and Kathryn Jackson at 98.69%.
The uranium producer is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and describes itself as one of the largest global providers of uranium fuel. The company trades on both the Toronto Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange.
