Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ: CALM) appointed Melanie Boulden to its board of directors as an independent director, effective August 11, 2025. She will serve until the 2025 annual meeting of shareholders and then stand for reelection as a Class I director for a three-year term.
Boulden will join the compensation, audit, and nominating and corporate governance committees starting September 1, 2025. She brings nearly three decades of experience in food and beverage industry management, having held senior positions at The Coca-Cola Company, Kraft Foods Group Inc., and Tyson Foods, Inc., where she remains a consultant.
At Tyson Foods, Boulden served as group president of the prepared food business unit and executive vice president, chief growth officer. In the group president role, she managed a multibillion-dollar retail, foodservice and ecommerce portfolio that included brands such as Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm and Ball Park, overseeing manufacturing facilities and more than 19,000 employees.
Her previous roles at Coca-Cola included chief marketing officer of the North America operating unit, president of the still beverages business unit, and president and general manager of venturing and emerging brands. She also held senior marketing positions at Reebok International, Ltd., Crayola LLC, Kraft Foods Group Inc., and Henkel Consumer Goods, USA.
Boulden currently serves on Adobe Inc.'s board of directors. She holds a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University and an MBA from the University of Iowa with concentrations in finance and marketing.
Cal-Maine Foods is the largest producer and distributor of fresh shell eggs in the United States, producing conventional, cage-free, organic, brown, free-range, pasture-raised and nutritionally enhanced eggs, as well as egg products and prepared foods.
