Cal Water CEO joins Alliance for Critical Infrastructure board

California Water Service Group (NYSE: CWT) announced that its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Martin A. Kropelnicki, has joined the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI), according to a press release dated Sept. 30, 2026.

ACI describes itself as a private-sector organization focused on strengthening physical and cyber resilience across sectors including communications, energy, financial services, information technology, transportation, and water. The organization also aims to address risks and opportunities related to artificial intelligence.

"We are on the precipice of technological change that is unlike anything we've seen before, and it is essential that we work together to identify vulnerabilities, develop protective strategies, advance smart public policy, and share best practices," Kropelnicki said. "I am pleased to serve on ACI's Board because I am committed to contributing to efforts to keep my customers'—and our nation's—water systems safe."

ACI states that its expansion builds on more than a decade of private-sector national security work conducted in collaboration with the government. The organization was founded by nine founding members.

California Water Service Group is the parent company of regulated utilities serving more than 2.2 million people across California, Hawaii, New Mexico, Washington, and Texas.
