Blackrock Silver appoints Christine West to its board

Blackrock Silver Corp. (TSXV: BRC) (OTCQX: BKRRF) (FSE: AHZ0) has appointed Christine West as an independent director to its board of directors, the company announced in a press release.



West brings 30 years of experience in the international mining industry. She most recently spent 16 years at Endeavour Silver Corp., where she held positions including director, CFO, and VP controller. She previously served as CFO of Portal Resources Ltd., corporate controller for Nevada Pacific Gold Ltd., and manager of client services at Pacific Opportunity Capital Ltd.



West has been involved in more than $300 million in equity and debt financings for public companies listed on the NYSE, TSX, and TSX Venture Exchange. She is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.



In connection with her appointment, the company granted West 32,520 deferred share units (DSUs) at a deemed price of $1.23 per DSU under its Omnibus Equity Incentive Compensation Plan. The DSUs will vest in full after one year from the date of grant and can only be redeemed for common shares if the holder ceases to be a director or in accordance with the plan's provisions.
