Birks Group director Emilio Imbriglio resigns for personal reasons
Birks Group Inc. (NYSE American: BGI) announced that Emilio B. Imbriglio has resigned from its Board of Directors for personal reasons, effective immediately.
Imbriglio had served on the board since 2022 and had not been expected to stand for re-election at the company's annual shareholders meeting scheduled for September 2026.
Niccolò Rossi di Montelera, Executive Chairman of the Board and Interim CEO, thanked Imbriglio for his contributions. "The Board of Directors thanks Emilio for his contributions to the Company and guidance he has provided during his tenure," he said. "We wish Emilio continued success in all of his future endeavours."
Imbriglio said in a statement: "Serving on Birks Group's Board and being able to contribute to an iconic brand has been an honour and great pleasure."
Birks Group operates 32 retail locations across Canada under multiple brand names, including Maison Birks, Graff, Patek Philippe, Breitling, Omega, and Montblanc, among others.
