Bimini Capital names Ashley Griffith to board after director resignation
Bimini Capital Management Inc. (OTCQB: BMNM) appointed Ashley B. Griffith as a Class I director on November 6, 2025, following the resignation of Frank E. Jaumot from the board.
Jaumot, who served as a director since 2009 and was associated with the company since its initial capital raise, resigned to enter retirement. "We are tremendously thankful for the many contributions Frank has made to Bimini since our earliest days and wish him all the best in his retirement," said Chairman and CEO Robert E. Cauley.
Griffith, 53, assumes Jaumot's Class I director position with a term expiring at the 2028 annual meeting of stockholders. He currently serves as a Director in Institutional Sales at Hovde Group, a boutique investment banking firm focused on community and regional banking, a position he has held since early 2024.
Griffith brings over 25 years of experience in institutional sales at various investment banking firms, primarily focused on the financial sector. His previous positions include Managing Director of Institutional Sales at Compass Point Research and Trading from 2020 to 2024, and roles at Sandler O'Neill, Evercore and Fox-Pitt, Kelton. He also worked in sell-side equity research covering banking and media sectors. Griffith holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Hobart College.
The company noted that Griffith is the son-in-law of Robert Dwyer, who also serves as a director of the corporation.
Bimini Capital Management is an asset manager that invests primarily in residential mortgage-related securities issued by government-sponsored enterprises including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae. The company is headquartered in Vero Beach, Florida.
