The Baldwin Group (NASDAQ: BWIN) appointed Paul Sparks, Executive Chairman of CAC Group, to its board of directors effective January 1, 2026, according to a company statement.
The appointment follows Baldwin's recent merger with CAC Group, which the company says created one of the largest independent insurance advisory and distribution platforms in the United States.
Sparks has nearly 40 years of experience in insurance underwriting and brokerage. He has served as Executive Chairman of CAC Group since its founding in 2019, during which time the company reported organic revenue growth at nearly 30% compound annual rate.
Before CAC, Sparks held leadership positions at McGriff, Seibels & Williams, where he founded and led the financial services division. He also worked as Senior Vice President at Aon Corporation and as Customer Group Practice Leader at Chubb.
"Paul's leadership has been instrumental in vaulting CAC into one of the industry's preeminent specialty insurance brokerage and advisory platforms in a short timeframe," said Lowry Baldwin, Chairman of the Board.
Trevor Baldwin, Chief Executive Officer, stated that Sparks' experience will help advance the company's vision as "Broker of the Future."
Sparks graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and serves on the university's Risk Management Foundation board.
Tampa-based Baldwin Group describes itself as an independent insurance brokerage and advisory firm serving personal and commercial clients. The company reports representing more than three million clients across the United States and internationally.
