Autozi appoints Yafu Guo as director, Weston Twigg resigns
Autozi Internet Technology (Global) Ltd. (NASDAQ: AZI) announced board changes effective August 28, with Weston Twigg resigning from the board of directors and Yafu Guo joining as an independent director.
Twigg stepped down from his roles as chairman of the compensation committee and member of both the audit committee and nominating and corporate governance committee. The company stated his resignation was due to personal reasons and not related to any disagreement with company operations, policies or practices.
Guo will assume Twigg's former positions as compensation committee chairman and serve on the audit and nominating committees. The board determined Guo meets independence requirements under Nasdaq listing rules and U.S. Securities Exchange Act provisions.
The new director brings nearly 30 years of experience in asset management and capital markets. He serves as president and fund manager of TJ Capital Holdings LLC, a U.S.-registered asset management firm he founded in 2003, and managing partner of TJCM Asset Management LLC, established in 2017. His previous roles included senior investment positions at Promising Fund and Univest Securities.
Guo holds advanced degrees in finance and physics from Texas A&M International University and the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, plus a bachelor's degree in engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology.
Following the changes, Kevin Vassily chairs the audit committee, with Jing Lu and Guo as members. Guo leads the compensation committee alongside Vassily and Lu. The nominating and corporate governance committee is chaired by Lu, with Vassily and Guo serving as members.
