Atmos Energy adds law partner James Jeffries to its board

Atmos Energy Corporation (NYSE: ATO) has elected James H. Jeffries IV to its board of directors, effective September 1, 2026, according to a company statement.

Jeffries is a partner at the law firm McGuireWoods LLP, where he has worked for eight years. He has announced his retirement from the firm, effective August 31, 2026. He has more than 30 years of experience advising public and private companies in the natural gas utility sector.

Kim R. Cocklin, chairman of the board of Atmos Energy, commented on the appointment: "Jim is an excellent addition to our board. Because of his extensive experience in advising the natural gas utility sector as well as general business and strategic planning, he will be a significant asset to our board."

Atmos Energy is a natural gas distributor headquartered in Dallas, serving approximately 3.4 million customers across eight states.
