Antimony Resources Corp. (CSE: ATMY) (OTCQB: ATMYF) (FSE: K8J0) has appointed John M. Melkon as an adviser to its board of directors, according to a press release from the Vancouver-based company.

Melkon has served as a director and assistant professor at the United States Military Academy since 2012 and leads its Critical Minerals Consortium. He co-chairs the Bilateral Defense Committee between the U.S. and South Africa and serves on the boards of the George Bush School of Government and Public Service and the Alumni and Friends of Princeton ROTC.

His background includes service as a Senior Operations Advisor to the United States Army Africa from 2009 to 2012 and as a Strategic Operations Officer for the Department of Defense from 2006 to 2009. Before returning to public service, he worked as an international banking associate at Credit Suisse First Boston in Frankfurt, Germany. He previously served as an Army Special Forces Officer for more than 13 years.

CEO Jim Atkinson stated that Melkon's connections to the U.S. Department of Defense and military could help introduce the company to potential government customers and assist in obtaining financing from the U.S. Export-Import Bank for its Bald Hill Antimony project in southern New Brunswick, Canada.

The Bald Hill project holds an estimated 2.7 million tonnes at a grade between 3% and 4% antimony, according to a 2025 NI 43-101 technical report. The company cautioned that this figure is conceptual and that insufficient exploration has been completed to define a formal mineral resource.
