AngloGold Ashanti names Paul Graves as non-executive director

AngloGold Ashanti plc (NYSE: AU) has appointed Paul Graves as an independent non-executive director, effective October 1, 2026, according to a company statement.
Graves will serve on the Audit and Risk Committee and the Social, Ethics and Sustainability Committee.
Graves has over 30 years of experience in natural resources, finance, and public company leadership. He most recently served as Chief Executive of Rio Tinto Lithium, following Rio Tinto's acquisition of Arcadium Lithium, where he had been President and CEO. He previously served as President and CEO of Livent Corporation and as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of FMC Corporation from 2012 to 2018.
Earlier in his career, Graves spent 12 years in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, where he was a Partner and held roles including Head of Natural Resources Asia and Global Head of Chemical Investment Banking.
Graves currently serves on the board of Charles River Laboratories International Inc., where he chairs the Strategic Planning and Capital Allocation Committee and sits on the Audit Committee.
