American Fusion appoints John Gerdin to its board of directors

American Fusion Inc. (OTC: AMFN) announced the appointment of John Gerdin to its board of directors as an independent director and strategic advisor, according to a press release issued Aug. 10, 2026.



Gerdin brings approximately three decades of experience in international finance, financial structuring, and cross-border advisory work across Europe, Asia, and North America. His background includes work with emerging growth companies, institutional investors, family offices, and private banking clients.



His recent roles include serving as Head of International Business and Growth at Recon Group AI since 2023 and as a Senior Consultant to Kepler Aerospace from 2015 to 2025. He has also served as a portfolio advisor with Belmont Equity, First Swiss, and Strategic Capital Partners, all based in Zurich, Switzerland.



In his advisory role, Gerdin is expected to provide guidance on corporate finance, international capital markets, strategic partnerships, and long-term corporate development. As an independent director, he is expected to contribute to board oversight in corporate governance, capital formation, and business strategy.



Brent Nelson, Executive Chairman of American Fusion, said the company aims to progress to the OTCQB Market and has a longer-term objective of qualifying for a national or regional exchange listing, though noted any such transition remains subject to applicable listing standards, regulatory requirements, and market conditions, with no assurance the company will qualify.



American Fusion is developing the Texatron Fusion Engine, an aneutronic fusion platform intended for modular deployment across industrial, commercial, defense, and grid-constrained applications. The company noted the technology remains in development, is not commercially available, and no assurance can be given that commercialization will be achieved.
