AlphaTON Capital Corp (NASDAQ: ATON) announced the election of F. Daniel Siciliano as an independent director to its board, effective immediately. The appointment coincides with the resignation of Steven Mintz, who stepped down February 6, 2026.
Siciliano, 55, previously served as chairman of the Council of Federal Home Loan Banks and the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, where he has been a director since February 2017. He currently chairs the Silicon Valley Directors' Exchange and is a CodeX Fellow at Stanford University.
The new board member co-founded the Stanford Rock Center for Corporate Governance in 2006 and served as a Professor of the Practice and Associate Dean at Stanford Law School, leading the Center until 2017. He was recognized on the "Directorship 100" list of influential people in corporate governance in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Siciliano previously co-founded and served as CEO and Executive Chairman of LawLogix Group, a technology company that was included on the Inc. 500/5000 list nine times. He sold a majority stake to PNC Riverarch Capital and later led the sale of the company to Hyland Software/Thoma Bravo in 2015.
"His deep experience in corporate governance and the intersection of law and technology will be invaluable as we continue our aggressive expansion into privacy-preserving AI and the Telegram economy," said Brittany Kaiser, CEO of AlphaTON.
Siciliano will chair the company's Audit and Corporate Governance Committees. The board appointment follows several company developments, including the closing of a $46 million AI infrastructure deal for NVIDIA B300 chips and the launch of the AlphaTON Claude Connector.
AlphaTON Capital operates technology infrastructure for the Telegram platform and its ecosystem. The company is incorporated in the British Virgin Islands.
