August 18, 2026 5:00 PM EDT

Allied Gold Corporation (TSX: AAUC; NYSE: AAUC) has appointed Joanna Pearson as an independent director to its board, effective immediately, according to a press release from the Toronto-based company.

Pearson brings more than 25 years of experience in financial reporting, risk management, and strategic financial work in the mining sector. She served as Chief Financial Officer of Endeavour Mining plc from 2021 to 2023 and previously spent 12 years as an Audit Partner at Deloitte LLP, where she led multinational audit engagements for U.S. and Canadian listed mining companies. She currently serves as a director of Hochschild Mining plc and Gold X2 Mining Inc. Pearson holds the Chartered Professional Accountant designation in British Columbia and the ICD.D designation.

To accommodate the appointment within the board's size limits, Daniel Racine has stepped down as a director. Racine will continue in an emeritus director role, attending board discussions and providing advice during the company's current transition period.

Peter Marrone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Allied Gold, said Pearson "joins us at a time when we will be transitioning from the development stage in respect of our Kurmuk Mine to production and generation of cash flows which will accelerate our status as a more financially mature public mining company."

Allied Gold operates three producing assets and development projects in Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, and Ethiopia.
