Algonquin Power elects nine directors at annual meeting

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (NYSE: AQN) held its annual meeting of common shareholders, electing nine directors to its board, according to a press release from the Oakville, Ontario-based company.
The nine nominees elected were Brett Carter, Amee Chande, D. Randall Laney, David Levenson, Christopher Lopez, Gavin Molinelli, Dilek Samil, DeAnn Walker, and Roderick West. All nominees were listed in the company's management information circular dated May 19, 2026.
Vote totals varied among nominees. Roderick West received the highest share of votes in favor at 99.62%, while Brett Carter received the lowest at 96.62%.
Shareholders also voted to re-appoint Ernst & Young LLP as the company's auditor for the coming year, approved an amendment to the company's share unit plan, and passed an advisory resolution approving the company's approach to executive compensation.
Final voting results are to be filed with Canadian and U.S. securities regulatory authorities.
