Albertsons adds three directors, expanding board to 14 members

Albertsons Companies, Inc. (NYSE: ACI) announced the appointment of Bill Boltz, Chris Drumgoole and Meg Ham to its board of directors, effective Oct. 14, 2026. The additions expand the board from 11 to 14 members, following the recent appointment of Meg Whitman as executive chair.

Boltz currently serves as executive vice president of merchandising at Lowe's Companies, where he oversees merchandising, global sourcing, private brands and omnichannel strategy across more than 1,700 stores. He has previously held senior roles at The Home Depot, Sears and Chevron North America.

Drumgoole is chief operating officer of Aligned Data Centers. He previously served as president of global infrastructure services at DXC Technology and as chief information officer at General Electric. His background includes cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure and AI-driven initiatives.

Ham most recently served as president of Food Lion, a $22 billion grocery business with more than 1,100 stores. During her tenure, she led 50 consecutive quarters of comparable-store sales growth. She currently serves on the board of Tractor Supply Company and brings more than 35 years of grocery retail experience.

"Bill's expertise in merchandising and omnichannel retail, Chris' deep technology and AI capabilities, and Meg's decades of grocery leadership and customer-focused transformation will be instrumental as we continue building a better, more agile company," said Susan Morris, CEO of Albertsons Companies.

According to a company press release, Albertsons operates 2,240 retail stores across 35 states and the District of Columbia under 22 banners, including Safeway, Vons and Jewel-Osco.
