AGNC Investment elects Christine Hurtsellers to board of directors

AGNC Investment Corp. (NASDAQ: AGNC) announced that its board of directors elected Christine Hurtsellers as a new board member effective December 9, 2025. The appointment expands AGNC's board to nine members, including seven independent directors.
Hurtsellers will serve as an independent director on the company's audit committee. She brings experience as a former chief executive officer and chief investment officer in the financial services industry.
From 2016 through 2024, Hurtsellers served as chief executive officer at Voya Investment Management, a financial services firm with over $360 billion in assets under management. She previously held the position of chief investment officer for fixed income at Voya Investment Management from 2009 to 2016 and served as head of structured finance and senior portfolio manager at ING Investment Management from 2004 to 2009.
Earlier in her career, Hurtsellers held portfolio management roles at Freddie Mac, AllianceBernstein, and Bank One. She currently serves on the board of trustees at Manulife John Hancock Funds and as a board member and head of investment committee at Chariot RE.
Hurtsellers holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and is a chartered financial analyst.

AGNC Investment Corp., founded in 2008, is an investor in agency residential mortgage-backed securities that invests on a leveraged basis and utilizes risk management strategies to protect portfolio value.
