Shopify board member resigns to join U.S. Department of Commerce

Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah resigned from the board of directors of Shopify Inc. (NASDAQ: SHOP) on July 2, 2026, effective immediately, to accept a full-time position with the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Mahendra-Rajah had served as a board member and Chair of the Audit Committee. Following his departure, Joe Natale, Chair of the Board and Lead Independent Director, is expected to assume the role of Audit Committee Chair.
