Zoomcar partners with Google Cloud to deploy AI across platform
Zoomcar Holdings Inc. (OTCQX: ZCAR) announced a collaboration with Google Cloud to integrate generative AI and machine learning technologies into its peer-to-peer car-sharing platform. The India-based company said it is using Google Cloud's Vertex AI and Gemini models to deploy AI agents across user experiences.
The company reported a 44% improvement in adjusted EBITDA for fiscal year 2024-25, with contribution margins reaching 47% and generating approximately $10 in contribution per booking. Zoomcar operates across 90 cities in India.
Zoomcar introduced Host Assist, an AI assistant powered by Google's Gemini Flash 2.0 model designed to guide prospective hosts through the onboarding process. The company said this tool achieved a 30% reduction in average onboarding time by providing policy guidance around the clock.
The platform is developing a Host Intelligence Engine that analyzes host behavior and provides pricing recommendations. The company is using AI to examine host-guest communications to determine responsibility in cancellation disputes, aiming to reduce host-driven cancellations.
Zoomcar implemented a fraud detection system that analyzes identity documents and selfies to identify suspicious activity. The company said this system is expected to improve fraud detection accuracy.
"Generative AI is transforming industries, and Zoomcar is an example of how companies can leverage these tools to create truly intelligent and seamless customer experiences," said Sashi Sreedharan, Managing Director of Google Cloud India.
Vishal Ramrakhyani, Head of Product & Engineering at Zoomcar, said the company has built AI agents and machine learning models integrated into workflows to drive commercial results and customer trust.
The information is based on a company press release.
