Xtract One wins hospital security contract in Ontario

Xtract One Technologies (TSX: XTRA, OTCQX: XTRAF, FRA: 0PL) announced that Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) has selected its SmartGateway weapon detection system for deployment at the hospital's Emergency Department entrance.

The selection followed a three-week pilot evaluation conducted by PRHC, a 500-bed regional acute care facility serving approximately 600,000 people in Ontario. PRHC cited SmartGateway's weapon detection range, ease of use, and integration into hospital operations as factors in its decision.

SmartGateway uses AI-powered sensors to screen individuals for weapons and prohibited items as they enter a facility without requiring them to stop or remove personal belongings, distinguishing it from traditional metal detector systems.

The Ontario deployment adds to Xtract One's existing Canadian healthcare installations in Prince Edward Island, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia.
