Wellgistics Health adds quantum encryption to blockchain pharmacy platform

Wellgistics Health, Inc. (NASDAQ: WGRX) announced it has added quantum key encryption to its PharmacyChain blockchain platform through its partnership with DataVault AI, Inc. (NASDAQ: DVLT). The companies completed a feasibility assessment for the technology integration.

The partnership enables Wellgistics to integrate blockchain-enabled tokenization and smart contract capabilities into its PharmacyChain platform, which uses the company's EinsteinRx artificial intelligence system for pharmacy dispensing optimization. The platform serves over 6,500 independent pharmacies in the Wellgistics network.

The companies established deployment milestones through 2026, including selecting suitable blockchain platforms by the first quarter, establishing HIPAA-compliant data transfers for smart contract transactions by the second quarter, and conducting a pilot program with an early adopter pharmacy by the third quarter.

"Partnering with DataVault AI represented a crucial step forward for Wellgistics as we prepare to deploy out technologies in our efforts to modernize the U.S. prescription drug ecosystem," said Prashant Patel, president and interim CEO of Wellgistics Health.

DataVault AI's platform includes its patented Information Data Exchange technology for attaching physical assets to blockchain metadata. The quantum encryption technology aims to protect against potential future threats to traditional encryption methods from quantum computing advances.

The announcement references market data indicating the U.S. prescription drug market represents $634 billion in annual revenue, projected to reach $883 billion by 2030. The global blockchain in healthcare market is valued at $11 billion and projected to grow to $214 billion by 2030.
