Vonage, a subsidiary of Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), has launched Vonage API Power for Kiro, making its communications and network APIs available within Amazon Web Services' Kiro agentic Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
The integration is available now as a featured partner power in the Kiro IDE and can be installed with a single click. Vonage claims, based on a review of publicly available records as of June 5, 2026, that it is the first CPaaS solution offered natively within the Kiro IDE.
The Kiro IDE is an agentic coding service that helps developers build and deploy software using large language models. The Vonage power draws on existing Vonage MCP Servers — including its Documentation MCP Server and API MCP Server — to provide in-IDE access to Vonage's communications APIs covering video, voice, and messaging, as well as network APIs for verification and authentication features such as Silent Authentication, SIM Swap detection, and Identity Insights.
"By bringing Vonage's Communications and Network APIs natively into the Kiro agentic IDE, we're removing the barriers that slow developers down — from onboarding to production," said Alex Barnett, VP of Developer Ecosystem and Experience at Vonage.
The announcement accompanies a broader expansion of Vonage's presence within the AWS ecosystem. Eight Vonage solutions are currently available in AWS Marketplace across the US and EMEA, including AI Voice Agents, Vonage Verify, Vonage Branded Calling, Vonage RCS Messaging, Vonage Protection Suite, and Vonage Contact Center.
Vonage also delivered a presentation at AWS Summit New York City on June 17, 2026, focused on using mobile network intelligence for identity verification and fraud prevention.
