VivoPower changes ticker to VIVO, completes name change
VivoPower International PLC completed its corporate name change to VivoPower PLC and began trading under the new ticker symbol "VIVO" on the Nasdaq stock market, effective before market open on March 16.
The company previously traded under the ticker "VVPR" on Nasdaq. The ticker and name changes reflect the company's focus on building, owning and leasing powered land and data center infrastructure for artificial intelligence compute applications.
The name change does not affect shareholder rights and requires no action from current shareholders, according to the company's statement.
VivoPower describes itself as a developer and owner of powered land and data center infrastructure for AI compute applications. The company provides land, power and real-estate infrastructure through long-term lease contracts with sovereign nations, hyperscalers, neocloud players and other tenants.
Founded in 2014, VivoPower has been listed on Nasdaq since 2016. The company operates across the United Kingdom, Australia, North America, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
