VisionWave files patent for AI-assisted RF fire control system
VisionWave Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: VWAV) filed a non-provisional U.S. patent application for an AI-assisted multi-modal RF fire control system on April 20, 2026. The patent application, titled "AI-Assisted Multi-Modal RF Fire Control System for All-Domain Target Engagement," carries serial number 19/652,090 and claims priority to a provisional application filed in October 2025.
The company completed several transactions since its March 30 corporate update, including the acquisition of xClibre AI video intelligence intellectual property for 7 million shares and a $6 million promissory note. VisionWave also signed a non-binding term sheet to acquire up to 51% of Foresight Autonomous Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ: FRSX) for $17.5 million in VisionWave equity.
VisionWave received its first commercial homeland security purchase order from a Latin American public safety organization on April 2, 2026, covering drone-based operational systems and integrated payload technologies. This represents the company's transition from demonstration phase to initial revenue generation.
The patent filing describes a fire control system that uses RF sensing, AI-based target interpretation, and 3D scene reconstruction to operate in conditions where optical and infrared systems may be degraded. The system features a dual-network AI architecture combining temporal and spatial neural networks for target analysis and classification.
On April 16, VisionWave appointed Shayna Quinn as an independent director and filed a Form S-1 registration statement with the SEC covering approximately 6.1 million shares related to previous transactions. As of April 15, 2026, the company had 23,847,137 shares of common stock outstanding.
The company operates as a defense and sensing technology firm developing AI-driven RF-based sensing, autonomy, computer vision, and computational acceleration technologies for defense, homeland security, and commercial applications.
