VisionWave debuts VARAN autonomous ground vehicle at Eurosatory 2026
VisionWave Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: VWAV) opened its first international defense exhibition presence at Eurosatory 2026 on June 15, presenting its VARAN™ Autonomous Ground System as a physical, working prototype to the international defense community for the first time.
The company is exhibiting at Booth Pe5a Ext6, Paris Nord Villepinte, France, through June 19, with live demonstrations of the VARAN™ platform running across all five days of the show.
VARAN™ is described as a modular autonomous unmanned ground vehicle designed and engineered in the United Kingdom. According to the company, the platform is built to operate in GPS-denied and electronically jammed environments using cameras, thermal imaging, and passive 3D vision, without emitting radar, LiDAR, or active radio frequency signals. Stated performance targets, which remain subject to ongoing development and testing, include a top speed of 45 mph, a payload capacity of up to 400 kg, and a towing capacity exceeding 1,000 kg. A single chassis is designed to support eight mission profiles, including logistics, counter-UAS, and casualty evacuation.
Alongside VARAN™, VisionWave is showcasing its STRATUM™ AI operational management platform, which incorporates acquired qSpeed™ computational acceleration intellectual property. The company stated that qSpeed™ is currently in proof-of-concept development. VisionWave also said it has integrated optical and thermal computer vision sensing from Foresight Autonomous Holdings Ltd. (Nasdaq: FRSX) into the STRATUM™ platform under a previously announced collaboration.
VisionWave deployed a team of 11 to Paris, including five members of its Board of Directors and one Advisory Board member, which the company described as its largest international deployment to date.
"This is the moment VisionWave steps onto the world stage. VARAN™ is live, it is here, and every defense decision-maker walking through this exhibition can see it, touch it, and question it," said Douglas Davis, Executive Chairman and CEO of VisionWave Holdings.
