Velo3D receives AS9100D certification for production quality system

Velo3D Inc. (NASDAQ: VELO) announced it received AS9100D certification for its Rapid Production Solution Quality Management System from Eagle Certification Group. The certification validates that the company's manufacturing processes meet aerospace industry quality standards set by the International Aerospace Quality Group for aviation, space and defense supply chains.

The AS9100D standard requires companies to demonstrate rigorous quality management requirements including repeatability, traceability and reliability in manufacturing operations. Eagle Certification Group conducted the evaluation of Velo3D's quality management system documentation, implementation and effectiveness.

"Achieving AS9100D certification for our RPS Quality Management System is a pivotal milestone for Velo3D and, most importantly, for our customers," said Dr. Arun Jeldi, CEO of Velo3D. "This achievement demonstrates that our RPS processes meet the highest standards of aerospace quality."

The certification enables Velo3D to serve aerospace companies, defense contractors and government agencies that require AS9100D compliance from suppliers. The company's Rapid Production Solution provides customers a pathway from prototyping to high-volume production of metal components using additive manufacturing technology.

Velo3D operates metal 3D printing technology focused on manufacturing parts for defense, space, aviation and energy sectors. The company's platform includes Flow print preparation software, Sapphire printer systems and Assure quality control technology.
