Universal Music Group repurchases 9.4 million shares under €250M buyback
Universal Music Group N.V. (EURONEXT: UMG) repurchased 9,449,336 of its own shares between August 10 and August 14, 2026, at an average price of €15.08 per share, for a total consideration of €142,506,838, according to a press release from the company.
The repurchases were made as part of a €250 million share buyback program announced on August 6, 2026. Through August 14, the company had repurchased a cumulative total of 12,798,336 shares under the program for a total consideration of €193,934,040.
The Hilversum, Netherlands-based company said it publishes a weekly aggregated overview of the buyback program's progress on its investor relations website.
