Universal Music Group repurchases 772,030 shares for €14.7 million
Universal Music Group N.V. (EURONEXT: UMG) repurchased 772,030 of its own shares during the week of May 4 through May 8, 2026, at an average price of €19.03 per share for a total consideration of €14,688,125.
The repurchases were made as part of the company's €500 million share buyback program announced March 30, 2026. As of May 8, 2026, Universal Music Group has repurchased a total of 2,741,468 shares under the program for €53,135,296.
The company publishes weekly aggregated overviews of the share buyback program progress on its website. The press release was issued to comply with disclosure and reporting obligations under Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052.
