Universal Music Group repurchases 3.35 million shares under €250M buyback
Universal Music Group N.V. (EURONEXT: UMG) repurchased 3,349,000 of its own shares between August 6 and August 7, 2026, at an average price of €15.36 per share, for a total consideration of €51,427,203.
The transactions are part of a €250 million share buyback program the company announced on August 6, 2026. As of August 7, the total shares repurchased under the program stood at 3,349,000, with a cumulative spend of €51,427,203.
The company, headquartered in Hilversum, the Netherlands, said it publishes weekly updates on the progress of the buyback program in aggregated form on its website.
