Investing.com -- Tesla reported a sharp decline in UK vehicle sales for February, with deliveries falling 45.2% compared to the same month last year, according to data released Wednesday by New Automotive.
The American EV maker sold 2,208 vehicles in the UK during February, down from approximately 4,030 units in the prior-year period. Despite the significant drop, Tesla maintained its lead over Chinese competitor BYD in the British market.
BYD recorded sales of 968 units in February, representing a 40.9% increase from the previous year. The Chinese automaker continues to expand its presence in the UK market, though it remains well behind Tesla in total volume.
