TJX Companies adds United Rentals executive to its board

The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TJX) announced that its board of directors elected Craig A. Pintoff as a new board member, effective September 16, 2026.
Pintoff currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of United Rentals, Inc. (NYSE: URI), a global equipment rental company. In that role, he oversees human resources, legal, safety, and environmental functions. He has held various leadership positions at United Rentals since joining the company in 2003.
Carol Meyrowitz, Executive Chairman of TJX's board, said in a statement: "He brings deep experience in human capital management, talent development, and organizational leadership, along with strong expertise in risk oversight, regulatory compliance, international operations, and corporate governance."
TJX operates over 5,200 stores across ten countries under banners including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, and TK Maxx.
