TGE agrees to acquire Ritz Carlton hotel in Perth
The Generation Essentials Group (NYSE: TGE) entered into an agreement to acquire the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Perth, Western Australia, according to a company statement. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
The Perth property represents what the company describes as the 100th Ritz Carlton Hotel globally. TGE is a subsidiary of AMTD Digital Inc. (NYSE: HKD).
Located at Elizabeth Quay, the riverfront hotel features 209 rooms, a restaurant, lounge, bar, spa complex, infinity pool, fitness center and event spaces. The property offers views of the Swan River and Kings Park.
The acquisition marks another expansion step for TGE in the hospitality sector, according to the press release statement.
TGE was established jointly by AMTD Group Inc., AMTD IDEA Group (NYSE: AMTD; SGX: HKB) and AMTD Digital Inc. The company focuses on multimedia, entertainment, cultural affairs and hospitality services, with headquarters in France.
