Spirit Blockchain Capital names Judy Galvez as CFO
Spirit Blockchain Capital Inc. (CSE: SPIR | OTCQB: SBLCF) has appointed Judy Galvez, CPA, CMA, as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, according to a press release from the Vancouver-based company.
Galvez brings more than 25 years of experience in finance, governance, and regulatory compliance across publicly listed companies and international organizations. She most recently served as CFO of Selva Resources Ltd. and previously held the same role at Spirit Rock Resources Ltd. Earlier in her career, she held senior finance positions at First American Corp., Mosaic Potash Company, and Deloitte LLP.
Raymond O'Neill, who served as Interim CFO, has transitioned out of that role and will continue as Chairman of the Board.
CEO Suha Askary said in the statement: "Judy brings an exceptional combination of public company finance, governance, regulatory compliance and international operating experience."
Galvez commented: "The Company has an exciting opportunity to build a scalable technology-focused business supported by strong financial discipline and governance."
In a concurrent corporate update, Spirit Blockchain said management is focused on refining its technology architecture, identifying commercial opportunities, and forming strategic partnerships aimed at recurring revenue generation. The company said it expects to provide additional updates on its technology roadmap and commercialization efforts as development progresses.
