SolarBank changes name to PowerBank Corporation

SolarBank Corporation (NASDAQ: SUUN) will change its name to PowerBank Corporation effective July 28, 2025, according to a company announcement. The renewable energy developer said the name change reflects its business focus on providing power solutions beyond solar energy to support the digital economy.
The company's stock symbols will remain unchanged across the NASDAQ, Cboe Canada, and Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Trading under the new name will commence on the effective date with a new CUSIP number of 73933V100 and ISIN of CA73933V1004.
Shareholders approved the name change at a special meeting on July 23, 2025, in accordance with the company's articles and Ontario's Business Corporations Act. The change does not affect the company's share structure or shareholder rights, and existing share and warrant certificates will remain valid.
No share consolidation is involved, meaning shareholders will not need to exchange existing certificates for new ones. The company will launch a new website at www.powerbankcorp.com on the effective date.
PowerBank Corporation develops solar, battery energy storage, and electric vehicle charging projects across Canada and the United States. The company sells electricity to utilities and various commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential customers. It reports a development pipeline exceeding one gigawatt and has completed renewable energy projects totaling more than 100 megawatts.
The Toronto-based company operates distributed and community solar projects, maximizing returns through a portfolio spanning multiple North American markets including utility partnerships, host off-takers, community solar, and virtual net metering projects.
