So-Young names Nan Shen as chief financial officer

So-Young International Inc. (Nasdaq: SY) has appointed Nan Shen as its Chief Financial Officer, effective August 3, 2026, according to a press release from the Beijing-based company.
Shen, who joined So-Young's board as an independent director in October 2023, will oversee finance, human resources, legal, and compliance functions in her new role. In connection with the appointment, she has stepped down from the board's audit committee, compensation committee, and nominating and corporate governance committee, while continuing to serve as a director.
Shen previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Gaotu Techedu Inc. (NYSE: GOTU) from December 2018 to May 2026, and concurrently as senior vice president from October 2023 to May 2026. Before that, she was CFO of China Sinoedu Co., Ltd., overseeing its VIE at Shandong Yingcai University, from November 2017 to November 2018. She also held multiple roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers between February 2012 and November 2017, reaching the position of assurance manager, including a placement in PricewaterhouseCoopers' Greater Michigan office from September 2014 to July 2016.
Earlier in her career, Shen was an investment manager at Dalian Port & Shipping Industry Fund, where she also handled investor relations.
Shen holds bachelor's and master's degrees in financial management from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, earned in 2006 and 2009, respectively, and an EMBA from Tsinghua University obtained in June 2025. She is a certified public accountant in China.
