Siebert, tZERO, and Streamex partner to offer gold-backed token GLDY
Siebert Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: SIEB), through its subsidiary Muriel Siebert & Co. LLC, has entered into a collaboration with tZERO Group, Inc. and Streamex Corp. (NASDAQ: STEX) to make a gold-backed, yield-bearing tokenized security available to eligible investors through Siebert's brokerage and institutional channels.
The security, called GLDY and developed by Streamex, will be offered via a private placement under Reg. D Rule 506(c), limiting access to accredited and institutional investors. tZERO will provide the supporting regulated digital infrastructure, including investor onboarding, custody, secondary market infrastructure, compliance, and lifecycle services.
"GLDY is an example of how traditional finance and blockchain-enabled infrastructure can work together without adding complexity for the investor," said John J. Gebbia, Chief Executive Officer of Siebert. "Clients can speak with their Siebert broker, evaluate whether GLDY fits their goals and risk profile, and, where appropriate, purchase it through a brokerage account."
Alan Konevsky, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of tZERO, said his firm was built to provide regulated market infrastructure as a foundation for digital securities. "Traditional financial institutions increasingly recognize that tokenized securities require more than blockchain technology," he said.
Henry McPhie, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Streamex, said the partnership with Siebert and tZERO allows GLDY to reach investors "through channels they already know and trust."
Siebert said the arrangement also supports the growth of its investment banking and capital markets platform, with a focus on financial services, fintech, blockchain, and digital assets. The announcement was made according to a press release issued June 29, 2026.
