Sidus Space Inc. (NASDAQ: SIDU) and Maris-Tech Ltd. (NASDAQ: MTEK, MTEKW) announced they have achieved an integration milestone for the LizzieSat-4 mission, with Maris-Tech's payload scheduled to fly aboard the satellite planned for launch later this year.
The milestone marks the transition from planning to active integration, with the companies preparing to begin testing of Maris-Tech's payload hardware. Following initial testing, the payload will be integrated onto the LizzieSat-4 satellite.
"This integration milestone represents a critical step as we prepare LizzieSat-4 for launch later this year," said Patrick Butler, EVP of Engineering & Programs at Sidus Space. "Beginning payload testing and progressing into full hardware and software integration underscores the maturity of the LizzieSat platform and our ability to support advanced customer technologies from ground testing through on-orbit operations."
Maris-Tech's payload is designed to demonstrate high-performance edge computing and video processing capabilities in orbit, leveraging the modular LizzieSat architecture and Sidus' flight-proven subsystems. The mission aims to support real-time data handling and advanced analytics for space and defense applications.
Israel Bar, Chief Executive Officer of Maris-Tech, stated the integration phase represents an important technical milestone for the company. "Flying aboard LizzieSat-4 is intended to enable us to validate our edge computing and video processing capabilities in a space environment, and demonstrate seamless integration with the LizzieSat hardware and software platform as we advance toward on-orbit operations."
LizzieSat-4 is part of Sidus Space's constellation of multi-mission satellites designed to support rapid payload integration and flexible hosted payload configurations. The companies announced this information in a press release statement.
