STMicroelectronics repurchases 733,818 shares for €16.7 million
STMicroelectronics N.V. repurchased 733,818 ordinary shares between July 28 and August 1, 2025, for a total cost of €16,680,419.09, according to a company statement. The shares were purchased at a weighted average price of €22.7310 per share on Euronext Paris.
The repurchased shares represent 0.08% of the company's issued share capital. The transactions were conducted under a share repurchase program approved by shareholders on May 22, 2024, and by the supervisory board.
The company stated the purpose of the repurchases was to meet obligations arising from share option programs or other share allocations to employees and members of administrative, management or supervisory bodies. The shares may be held in treasury before being used for such purposes.
Following these buybacks, STMicroelectronics holds 17,750,517 treasury shares in total, representing approximately 1.9% of the company's issued share capital.
The daily breakdown shows purchases ranging from 100,000 shares on July 31 at €22.5261 per share to 160,000 shares on July 30 at €23.0609 per share. All transactions were executed on Euronext Paris.
